Energy Procurement

Energy is one of your business’ biggest overheads so we know how important it is to find the right deal with a competitive rate for your business. Our team has been working in the energy industry for over 20 years and have extensive knowledge and experience of the market. We are therefore perfectly placed to advise you on the current market, including when is best to buy, what deal you should choose and what type of contract you should take out.

We have access to the whole of the market so can help guide you through the myriad of choices out there, including whether to contract on a fixed or flexible basis.

Fixed Contracts

Fixed contracts are ideal for those businesses wanting budgetary certainty and the security moving forwards of knowing how much they will be paying for their energy usage for a known period of time. With fixed contracts, both energy and non commodity costs are included at an agreed price throughout the life of the contract, giving you peace of mind that you will be protected against any future price increases in the wholesale markets during the contract term.

We assist hundreds of small to mid market businesses every year with their procurement of fixed contracts ensuring they receive the right advice to secure the most advantageous contract at the lowest rates.

Flexible Contracts

For larger users an alternative option are flexible contracts. These allow businesses to take advantage of price movements in the market by buying energy in smaller tranches during favourable periods or purchasing on the day ahead index, thereby avoiding the market highs, purchasing at a lower price and saving your business money. In order to take advantage of these price drops, the wholesale market is tracked on a daily basis and you will receive regular reporting.

A Flex contract can be treated as a fixed contract at any time should we see market conditions being advantageous.

Flex Basket

Some customers may wish to take advantage of the benefits of flexible purchasing but have supplies which are not large enough to warrant a flex contract on their own, and in these circumstances we can often offer the opportunity to place these supplies in a basket which is then traded as outlined above.
